On July 25, 1963, after the Washington Post reported that the Air Force had spent $5,000 to refurbish a room at Otis Air Force Base in Massachusetts in the event the pregnant first lady needed to use it to give birth. (That’s about $40,000 in today’s dollars.) Upon seeing the story, President Kennedy picked up the phone and called Air Force Gen. Godfrey McHugh at the Pentagon. What followed was...

If he said "Send him to Alaska" today it would be branded racist, since Alaska is the homeland of the Eskimos (Yes I don't care how you would prefer another more politically correct term, I will call them what I want), did he imply that somehow Alaska is worse than the 48 states? So the natives there are inferior? What a discriminatory, insensitive and bigoted statement!
"Let's send him to Alaska too." What an absolute Chad.
Who is the moron who came up with this idiotic music???!!!!!!!
Nice video, but lose the music. . . horrible!
Nowadays we don't even have presidents who face the press.
Jordan Marsh went under in 1996
Kennedy failed to learn the most important lesson from the "Guns of August" about how WWI began. That lesson: Don't ride in a Covertible!
I look soo sexyy here
Poor Pierre, he must have thought I'm fired, he gets to the White House, and JFK looked at him and winks, Don't worry, I handled it.
Can you imagine Biden or Trump doing this cold..Being 11 or 12 I always felt like the president had everything in control. With Biden or Trump you feel like it's ready to spin out of control at anytime..
If JFK was alive today, he would be appalled at the current state of the Democratic Party and just how far they have pushed the US into a communist country.. so 😢 sad
I’m in no way imaginable a democrat, but I do miss the time when the press at least pretended to be journalists. I bet you thought I was going to say something about Kennedy being so smart. He was, but so was Nixon, and everyone knows the 1960 election was bought and stolen by Joe.
thankq for President Kennedy and your family and friends and allies
The days of having a young, energetic, intelligent, thoughtful, articulate president are over.
Really? Maybe you should listen to JD Vance sometime. He's all those things on the spot.
How did JFK treat Frank Sinatra after he won the presidency??? When Kennedy, as president, visited Palm Springs, he chose to stay at Bing Crosby's home (a Republican). Reportedly, Sinatra wept. Sammy Davis Jr, who supported JFK’s election campaign, didn’t receive an invitation to JFK’s inaugural gala because he was part of an interracial marriage at the time. Dean Martin, who was angered by this news, stood up for Sammy by declining his own invitation to the inauguration. JFK (RIP) forgot who his friends were it seems. None of us are perfect and we all fall short of the glory of God to be sure.
Sportin' the Doug Sanders pink look.
And then we have Trump (Hitler).
4:50 for Ella Fitzgerald
It’s so nice to hear him laugh! ❤ As a very young child, I was terrified of him whenever I heard and saw him on the evening news, which was often. During his speeches, I always felt like he was angry and shouting, from the time I was roughly three years old (yep, still remember). I was in the middle of class in first grade, when suddenly they sent all of us home early. We lived nearby, so I walked home and found my mother in tears, doing the ironing in front of the TV. I’ll never forget Walter Cronkite announcing his death, trying but failing to maintain his composure.
I was 14 the day he was murdered. Nothing's felt right since! Our faith in government & its institutions never really recovered, even though the government, & even the Kennedys did their best to bury the truth at the time. We understand more clearly now in 2024, when hindsight tells us the POTUS was gunned down by elements of his own government! Withholding details all these years leaves NO other conclusion!
I was 8 yrs old. I feel the same way. The country got knocked off balance and has never recovered 😮💨
The guy who played Bobby was absolutely spot on perfect in his role
Thought this was couple weeks before his death..
Jackie was pregnant with Patrick who lived only one day. In their mutual grief they fully reconciled and were becoming a team. It promised to be a new and happy starting over.
I love the way you presented this 😂
J. Edgar Hoover in his office listening looking at himself in the mirror wearing a dress and high heals😂
All this Kennedy nostalgia is a sad commentary on the state of national leadership and governance some 60-plus years on.
Images from the age of civility and privilege
Lil Bob k rfk lil did he know he would run in 24 and the cabal would attack his family before we need a comeback Kennedy’s!
This video is relevant again
"That silly fella that had his picture taken next to the bed, have him sent to Alaska too" If you look at the photo, he really is a silly looking! 😂

Me when a zionist says that Israel is the only democratic state in all of the middle east:
McNamara was a very competent manager and good SOD as long as there was a strong president who understood the world and was nimble. LBJ was not that guy. Kennedy and McNamara could have started a detente with Russia much sooner.

In the early '60s it was one crisis after another: the Congo, Berlin, the Cuban missile crisis, Laos and Vietnam, and on it went.
UNITED STATES SENATOR JOHN F. KENNEDY OF MASSACHUSETTS FOR PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!
When movies like this were on as a kid I'd be bored as shit to watch it. The lunch scene in Jurassic Park. I appreciate the other side of war films when it shows literally the gears of war turning. The conversations and intricacies that lead to conflict. Political or corporate intrigue (Big Short, Margin Call) makes for good watching.
J.F.K. Right man for the times. He had a vision for America's future too bad for us that he was taken from us too soon. God's will be done! He accomplished in 2 years and 10 months than most Presidents could'nt accomplish in two 4 year terms. It seems to me that he understood his own mortality. R.I.P. Mr. President!!
Not what I was expecting his laugh to be like at all.
I bet jackie was very happy that Marilyn was out of the picture.
20th century's Best President! By far.
Prescott Bush is There to the right
How did America go from the greatness of JFK to the appalling depth of depravity of trump.
JFK laughing at a letter from a fortune teller warning him to not ride in an open top limo in Dallas Texas
Thy guy who played Robert Kennedy looked MORE like JFK than the one that played HIM! They should have fattened the other dude's face and thickened his hair and he would have looked MOST like JFK than any other portrayal I've ever seen. As it is, I'm THROUGH with Kennedy reenactments. I'd rather just see the ACTUAL documentary films from the time of them in action.
Never had a President learned so fast and done so well in such a short time. Yes, we lament, often with tears; -'If only he had been able to serve his full tenure according to the American people's judgement'. Alas, I believe that we should give thanks that we were fortunate to enjoy President Kennedy's Guidance, leadership and accomplishments for as long as we did. Many often repeat the gut wrenching cry, "what if, what if?!" I am one Historian who believe that we should be grateful for the time we were blessed by his brilliance. For older people like myself, the pain of that awful day will never fully abate. I pray that younger Americans download the digitised audio of these press conferences from the J.F.K. Presidential Library website. I pray that American's will listen to President Kennedy's Press Conferences so they have an example of a great President with which to compare our the 2024 Presidential candidates. We can no longer afford to allow another act of insurrection and treason based on ignorance, hatred and stupidity. We can no longer afford to elect a person to the Presidency who thoroughly lacks the basic qualifications. A person who possesses insufficient education, expereince, honesty, basic decency, integrity, and is capable of only incompetence, hate and selfish motives, must never again be our President. We have previously endured poor quality Presidents, but we have never had a President so absurd that not even The Constitution can save us. After the Nixon Presidency, many Americans said, "Thank God. The Constitution truly works. We are safe. Alas, if we elect the wrong person THIS time, I fear America will not TWICE survive the same tragedy. The example of one of President Kennedy's Press Conferences can be used as a gauge with which to judge your choice in November. If you make the wrong choice this time, you likely may never again enjoy the ability to elect The President of The United States.
Rest in peace
47:14 wow. He went off. Never heard anyone make so much sense ever.
